We believe that it is important that, if we become your legal representatives, we both understand our obligations to each other.
Our charges are based on an hourly rate for all our professional services. We raise a charge for all consultations, drafting or reviewing documents, time spent travelling to meetings, time spent at court, time spent on the telephone calls and time spent on research.
When we attend to deliver a service, professionals working on the matter will be billed out as follows:
- Senior Attorney (> 15 years’ experience) R2850.00
- Senior/Junior Attorney (5-15 years’ experience) R2150.00
- Junior Attorney (< 5 years’ experience) R1850.00
- Candidate Attorney R1250.00
Our hourly rates are exclusive of value added tax and disbursements. Disbursements include non-professional costs such as travelling, photocopying, communications, and costs of third parties such as couriers. We charge for disbursements using the published High Court Tariff applicable at the time. Travel costs are at Automobile Association rates.
In the event that a matter or any other matter is or becomes litigious, we usually appoint an advocate to prepare pleadings and argue such actions or applications. Advocates are independent contractors and their fees depend on their seniority and level of experience.
